I have been in the credit and lending industry for over 30 years. My years in the mortgage and automobile lending industries made me realize that consumers have always been at a very big disadvantage in regards to the credit reporting system.
Your credit score is such an important part of your life:
- Your credit is reviewed when you purchase a house, auto, or furniture
- When you apply for utilities
- Applying for Credit Cards or Personal Financing
- Even when applying for a job or promotion
I’ve seen people hindered by their credit. I’ve seen them struggle to fight with the system when trying to correct errors on their report. In some cases, erroneous bad credit information has prevented consumers from realizing their dreams and I wanted to do something about it.
That’s why we started Illinois Credit Services
For years, I’ve seen multi-billion dollar corporations like the big 3 credit bureaus, the big banks and debt collectors using the credit system as a tool to earn big profits. While these huge corporations are raking in enormous revenue – consumers like you can be at a big disadvantage when it comes to understanding credit.

Why are consumers at a disadvantage?
Most consumers do not understand the credit system, credit scoring, or how to correct errors on their credit reports. Most consumers have NEVER been taught anything about credit in school. You have rights when it comes to credit reporting.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act protects your right to an accurate credit report which means you have the right to challenge and dispute any information you believe may be erroneous, unverifiable, inaccurate, or obsolete. Although you have the legal right to repair your own credit, I feel that most consumers are at a disadvantage because they don’t understand the credit reporting and dispute processes. Unverifiable or inaccurate information CAN be disputed but it can be a confusing and frustrating process for a consumer to handle on their own.

Our credit repair process is based on strategies utilizing the credit reporting laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA). If you are looking for a magic credit wand that claims to erase all your bad credit – you will not find it here. While it may sounds good…there is nothing mysterious about credit repair and that magic wand simply does not exist. Legal credit repair is based on the law and your rights to an accurate credit report. While we are not attorneys and Illinois Credit Services is not a law firm…we are CREDIT EXPERTS. Be aware of any credit repair company which makes unrealistic promises or charges upfront fees or tells you things that sound too good to be true…chances are they are operating illegally and should be avoided under all circumstances.
Our credit repair services are based on transparency, communication, and consumer support. We will send you the dispute letters disputing the unverifiable information on your credit reports which you ask us to challenge on your behalf. You will be able to review each dispute letter and you will have the option of signing the letters and mailing them to the credit bureaus, creditors, and/or debt collectors. This is YOUR credit and you need to understand more about how it works and to be responsible to make on-time payments for all of your obligations and working towards a healthy, more accurate credit report.

Illinois Credit Services, Inc. is a registered and bonded professional credit service organization. We will work to delete or repair all of the inaccurate and/or erroneous credit information you inform us is reporting on any of your 3 credit reports including TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.
We know how overwhelming it can be to face creditors and to try to clear up inaccuracies, and to understand what to do to works towards improving your credit score. And when you are trying to do it on your own without the guidance of an expert, it’s even harder.
